Content of work:

• Plans, manages and supervises all work activities of the Reception and Service intended for hotel guests
• Monitors the quality and manner of work of staff, educates and trains staff in set quality standards and procedures
• By organizing work and supervising employees, it influences the optimal use of hotel capacities, staff and all available resources
• Excellent communication with all departments of the hotel in a way of reaching maximum guest satisfaction.
• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
• Ensures all Concierge service requests are met pre-arrival, in-house, and post departure ·
• Secures well registration and correct pricing & invoicing – assists and implements the necessary actions for Deposits' registration – sending of invoices and selecting the outstanding amounts.

Required qualifications:

• At least 3-5 years of experience working in the same or a similar leadership position
• Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications and Opera.
• Education: minimum highschool education ·
• Advanced knowledge of English and second foreign language (German, French, Spanish, Italian) in speech and writing
• High level of communication, commitment to work and responsibility
• Expressed organizational and leadership skills

The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of the physical plant, structure, utility services, equipment, fixtures, and furnishings for the hotel facility. He will assume the duties of the Facility Manager during that person’s absences. He will assist with scheduling, delegating work assignments, develop blueprints if necessary, and inspect the completion of all work performed by subordinates and contractors. He will ensure health and safety policy compliance.  He will approve material requisitions for work completion.  He will complete all additional tasks as assigned by the Chief /Facility Manager.

Key roles & responsibilities:

Minor improvement projects:
Assist the Facility Manager to design and implement minor projects to improve plant efficiency.

Activities:

• Identifies the needs
• Designs and makes drawings and specifications.
• Estimates costs.
• Calls for quotations and liaises with outside contractors, where work is not done "in house."
• Supervises project implementations.
• Co-ordinates/informs other departments with regards to inconvenience, noise, and duration.

Preventive Maintenance Program (PPM):

• Monitor the planned and unplanned maintenance programs applicable to the following major systems.
• Electrical systems – both main and back up supplies
• Air Conditioning/HVAC systems
• Refrigeration systems.
• Fire system
• Building including furniture & fixture maintenance i) Painting ii) Parts renewal & repairs
• Kitchen & laundry equipment.
• Vertical transportation.
• Extra Low voltage (ELV) systems.
• Elevator system
• Guest rooms, F&B outlets, function/banquet areas, front of the house public areas, and back of the house staff areas
• Plumbing & drainage.
• Miscellaneous systems.

Energy & utility management:

• Assist with the control of utility supplies daily.
• Prepare consumption report on power, domestic water, chilled HVAC water, and low pressure gas
• Monitors and analyzes utility consumption
• Checks invoices by suppliers & utility companies.

Property management:

• Reviews all daily logbooks and highlights outstanding and recurring problems
• Assesses manpower requirements
• Function preparation
• All electrical/mechanical equipment repair & maintenance
• Repairs and Maintenance (work orders)

Maintenance contracts:

• Liaises with suppliers and contractors to obtain correct supplies and to ensure proper implementation of contracts.
• Negotiate, sign, and verify maintenance contracts and supplier invoices.
• Calls and liaises with contractors & consultants regarding exact requirements.
• Ensures that maintenance & repairs performed by contractors are executed in accordance with agreed health and safety policy, contracts, fees, or charges.

Health, safety & environment:

• Ensure a safe and environmentally friendly department.
• Assists in the development of safe work practices.
• Trains and monitors staff in safe work practices  
• Report and document potential hazards
• Maintain health and safety equipment
• Maintain health and safety documentation and records.
• Communicate to employee’s health and safety standards.
• Develop emergency response skills
• Assists in the development, training, and implementation of environmental protection policies and procedures for the handling of chemicals, paints and finishes, lubricants, and refrigerants.
• Assist in the management of the Hotel Fire Brigade.

Qualifications:      

• Post-Secondary graduate in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering is a plus.

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in hospitality industry with multi-trades supervisory experience

Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public. Ability to speak at least both Croatian and English languages.

We are seeking a Housekeeping Manager to assume the following job responsibilities.

• Effectively and efficiently assist in the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department.
• Provides quality service to ensure positive guest comments and feedback.
• Demonstrates a full knowledge of the hotel layout.
• Creates a safe, comfortable, and friendly working environment to enable the team to deliver an outstanding overall level of service.
• Works closely with the Engineering Department to maintain effective room and public area maintenance program.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

• Ensures the smooth running of the entire housekeeping operation.
• Coordinates, delegates and follows-up on daily job assignments and projects for the housekeeping operation and staff.
• Counsels, documents, praises, or disciplines any employee as required.
• Regulates quality of cleanliness of the guest rooms, as well as the public areas.
• Responds to all guest requests and complaints and follows up to ensure the guest’s satisfaction.
• Monitors daily scheduling and payroll through effective planning.
• Communicates with the Front Office to ensure that all cleaned rooms are entered in the computer before the end of the day.
• Inspects rooms daily, giving priority to the VIP and “Showrooms”, works with the Supervisors in this area.
• Assists in training and re-training of all employees.
• Performs other duties as required by the Resort General Manager.
• Enforces hotel and departmental policies and procedures.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines, ensuring employees follow them accordingly.
• Follows and supervises key handling procedure set by RHM Lopud Lafodia
• Ensure that departmental administration is carried out efficiently and log-in systems are accurate at all times.
• Conducting daily briefings to provide up to date information.
• Ensure grooming standards are maintained by the Team whilst personally presenting a professional image.

Other tasks:

• Monitors that employees follow all procedures regarding punch-in and punch-out for work as defined by RMH Lafodia Resort.
• Monitor that employees follow all procedures regarding attendance, lateness and absence as set by RMH Lafodia Resort.
• Monitors that employees follow standards set by RMH Lafodia Resort.
• Monitors that employees utilize supplies efficiently to eliminate waste.
• Monitors that employees follow recycling practices defined by RMH Lafodia Resort.

Supervisory responsibilities:

• Manages subordinate supervisors who supervise employees in the Housekeeping and Uniform Departments. Assist in the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
