Looking after the Environment
Environment respect is one of the hotel management’s main priorities.
As Hotel Lafodia is on an island designated for the care and safekeeping of the environment, we are making an enormous effort to ensure that the hotel has a zero impact on it.
What we have done to fulfil this aim is:
- installation of a filtration system for the hotel’s kitchen and bathroom water which removes polluting organic components by means of a system of sediment-oxidation-filtration basins. In this way, we can recover all the water necessary to irrigate the hotel’s green areas.
- installation of a fire prevention system with firebreaks and a large tank filled with water for emergency use;.
- installation of a kitchen waste treatment system which chops, dries and compacts organic residue;
- implementation of a system for differentiated recycling so that we can recycle as much as possible of the hotel’s waste.
